According to the Nezavisimaya Gazeta newspaper, Russia plans to achieve a long-term military presence in Latin America. It is possible, perhaps, to create a military base, on whose territory strategic and fighter aircraft, as well as tactical weapons, will be deployed, and the current appearance of Russian strategic bombers Tu-160 in Venezuela is only the first step.
