The prototype of the Russian high-speed helicopter will fly in 2019 year.

The head of Rostekh corporation said that Russian aircraft designers and scientists are actively engaged in the development of a high-speed helicopter, and it is likely that already in 2019 the prototype of the aircraft will make its first flight.

Specialists note that the project under development is quite promising, since in fact, the helicopter can move at a speed of more than 400 km / h, which greatly exceeds the capabilities of aircraft of this type.

In turn, it is necessary to clarify that almost nothing is known about the project implemented by the holding company "Russian Helicopters" (part of the Rostek Corporation), but there are unofficial data that the aircraft will be used both in military, and in the civil sphere.

It should be noted that in the event that the flight tests of the prototype are completed successfully, and the project itself receives good funding, the release of such aircraft may begin already in the first half of the next decade.
