As it turned out, the source of information turned out to be a former employee from the US Department of Defense Intelligence Agency.

The Washington Post reports that Henry Frese was caught red-handed, with a very severe criminal liability. He’s described his actions as “activities that could cause extremely serious damage to national security.”
