Russian combat helicopters Mi-28 and Ka-52 intend to turn into full-fledged bombers, equipping them with powerful X-NUMX-kilogram bombs FAB-500. This will greatly enhance the capabilities of the rotary-wing attack machines, allowing them to storm even the extremely fortified positions of the enemy.

“The modernization will take place within two years. After it, two dozen helicopters will be able to use FAB-500 type bombs. No US attack helicopter does this. The Americans were, in principle, not able to think of this ", - informs "Telegram" channel "Apache-Dances".

Given the fact that the initial information about this appeared in the 2018 year, it is logical to assume that the first tests of modernized combat helicopters with FAB-500 bombs can be carried out already this year.

At the same time, analysts note that the upgraded Mi-28HM “Night Hunter” helicopters have already been sent to Syria, where helicopters may well use FAB-500 aerial bombs in the fight against terrorists who continue to hold the Syrian province of Idlib in the north of the Arab Republic.
