19 January 2014. Air carrier of Azerbaijan "AZAL" signed a contract with the Boeing concern to supply new Aircraft Boeing-787 Dreamliner. The first ship will be delivered in the summer of 2014, the second - in November 2014. In total, two new planes will be delivered to Azerbaijan.

Thanks to the new aircraft, the airline will start operating long-haul flights to North and South America, Asia and other destinations around the world. There will also be a world tour of countries such as Chile, Ireland, Russia, Spain and Turkey.

Boeing conducted a promotional tour for Azerbaijani customers. The corporation of the manufacturer reported that the new aircraft are very economical, the fuselages are assembled from the composite.

The catalog cost of one Boeing-787 Dreamliner is $ 90 million.
