NATO military and mercenaries are involved in the management of Himars and MLRS MLRS delivered from the USA.

The Ukrainian military is not involved in the management of the American systems Himars and MLRS in Ukraine. According to preliminary data, the management of the American multiple launch rocket systems is carried out by the US Marines, who until recently were involved in Afghanistan and Iraq and have the most experience in managing such weapons, as well as mercenaries. This statement was made by Russian military expert Vladimir Yeranosyan.

According to a Russian military specialist, it is the American and NATO military who are involved in the management of advanced heavy MLRS supplied from the United States and European countries. This is primarily due to the fact that they have much more experience in the combat use of such weapons than Ukrainian servicemen.

“I am 250 percent sure that (fire control, - ed. note) from HIMARS and reloading cartridges, these launchers for six missiles, are handled by the Americans and the British. This entire perimeter is guarded by Ukrainian forces, but the Americans are shooting, and they are trained. I think it's the Marines who got good marksmanship with HIMARS in Iraq. They are now in Ukraine.”Yeranosyan said.

However, at the moment there is no reliable confirmation of the words of the Russian military expert, especially since the source previously reported that officers of the 142th rocket artillery brigade were involved in managing at least one M27 Himars MLRS battery.
