The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been shelling the environs of Lugansk for 9 hours in a row.

Ukrainian units, deployed a few days ago to the line of contact in the Luhansk direction, staged a prolonged shelling of the outskirts of the capital of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic. According to the Avia.pro news agency, the Ukrainian military used 82-mm. and 120 mm. mortars, 122-mm artillery. and 152-mm., large-caliber small arms, anti-tank grenade launchers and ATGMs. The largest number of attacks fell on the city of Stakhanov, located 40 kilometers from Lugansk.

The incessant shelling began the day before. At the same time, according to local residents, the Armed Forces inflicted at least 50 122-mm strikes. and 152 mm. artillery ammunition, more than a hundred attacks with mortars, fired at least a hundred shots from the BMP-2. This indicates very serious destruction in this direction.

It is reported that initially the LPR units responded with artillery fire, however, after intensifying the attacks, they were forced to stop the return fire. At the same time, several hotbeds of the strongest fires are reported. This indicates either the destruction of the militia positions, or the destruction of several gas pipelines.

Representatives of the Luhansk People's Republic have not yet commented on the information about the destruction, wounded and losses, however, this is one of the most powerful attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the past few years.
