The Ukrainian military complained about the new communication systems in the Russian army.

According to the Ukrainian authorities, Russian units have recently been using the new communication systems of the Wave Communications project. Despite the fact that standard frequencies are used for its organization, interception of communications is not possible. At the same time, direction finding also causes serious difficulties for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the power of such means of communication is relatively small. The only means of combating the new communication systems of the Russian military is the use of electronic warfare systems, however, in this case, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also have serious problems due to the lack of modern electronic countermeasures.

“It is impossible to eavesdrop on communication with the AES128 algorithm. It is possible to identify and find direction mainly repeaters, portable radios are too low-powered. It is possible and effective to detect and suppress individual fragments by EW forces, since the frequencies are known and fixed in advance. Global blocking of the network is difficult because the information is duplicated simultaneously throughout the network., Ukrainian sources say.

In fact, in the case of active hostilities, such means of communication are indispensable and, more than likely, they play a key role in the intensive offensive of Russian troops.
