Newark Airport was partly evacuated due to a fire and explosion.

To date, it is known that an explosion occurred the day before at Newark Airport, accompanied by a fire. The incident immediately sowed panic among hundreds of passengers waiting to board their flight, who suggested that there was a terrorist attack, which in turn almost led to a stampede and dozens of victims. However, later it turned out that the circumstances of the explosion were completely different - due to a large voltage surge, an explosion of the transformer occurred, which in turn led to an extensive fire near the terminal.

Thanks to the qualified and competent actions of the security service, all the passengers in the terminal managed to calm down and safely evacuate.

Despite the fact that the explosion of the transformer proved to be quite powerful, none of the people were injured, however, due to the close location of the explosion point to the car park, some cars were damaged.

It should be clarified that the incident occurred at the work of the International Airport of Newark, in particular, the flight of at least five flights was delayed, however, by the current hour the work of the terminal has been fully restored.
