The Airbus Group will develop a military unmanned helicopter

French aircraft builders will concentrate on developing unmanned helicopters.

29 December 2017 year it became known that the French companies "Airbus Group" and "Naval Group" had an agreement on joint cooperation, while any details of official publicity were not received. Nevertheless, on the eve of the day it became known that the companies will work on the creation of a military unmanned multipurpose helicopter, which in the near future is expected to be used on ships of the French Navy.

The multipurpose unmanned helicopter is intended to be used not only for special missions to detect enemy forces, but also for reconnaissance of nearby terrain, but also for the transportation of servicemen, the transport of small cargoes, and even as a combat aircraft.

The project will take about four years to complete, whereas, as early as 2025, French unmanned helicopters are expected to be used massively.

Experts do not rule out that in the near future Airbus will also present a civil unmanned helicopter, the work on which is actively conducted by scientists and engineers around the world, especially since the project is quite promising and will find great support.
