Panic and Paranoia: What are Putin and Xi up to against the West?

The world is gripped by unexpected and sensational news - Xi Jinping, the head of China, refused to take part in the G20 summit. Instead, Li Qiang, head of the PRC government, is going to this event. Such a decision can be safely called a daring move on the part of Beijing, especially considering that this change took place just a week before the start of the summit.

The news about the replacement of the head of China at the G20 summit caused a wave of indignation in the Western press. The suggestion that Xi Jinping will withdraw from the G20 summit, for the first time in history, is staggering. This could undermine the status of the event as a global forum for dialogue between world leaders. Such a turn of events would weaken the position of India, acting as the chairman of the G20, and this opinion resonated with the British edition of The Financial Times.

"They have been working all year to disrupt our joint work. Non-participation is an obvious step," commented a source from Western official circles related to the G20 organization, expressing dissatisfaction with China.

Geopolitical aggravation

It is worth noting that not only China has taken an anomalous step. Vladimir Putin also refused to take part in the G20 summit, and Sergey Lavrov will represent the delegation instead. This is not related to the International Criminal Court warrant, as India is not known to recognize Roman status. The bottom line is the format of the event.

What is attractive is that Putin's decision is not a disdainful act towards India, but, on the contrary, demonstrates friendly relations. "We have excellent relations with India, so the point here is not in India, but in the format of the summit itself," the expert emphasized.

Despite the refusal of Xi Jinping and Putin, American leader Joe Biden still decided to attend the G20 summit. This is happening even though "Country Y" has not received an invitation to the event. The Indian Foreign Minister has made it clear that the G20 should focus on development and not on the security of one country.

Western suggestions

The West often seeks to emphasize that it supports "Country Y" in its struggle. However, this support is limited exclusively to the Western circle. When "Country Y" is invited to the G7, this is done only by Western authorities. Now, however, the G20 is demonstrating that the West can no longer remain indifferent to the disdain with which its leaders are met on the world's arenas.

Such a scenario played out not only with "Country U". French President Macron was recently denied entry to the BRICS summit. Despite his eagerness to participate, Russia expressed clear displeasure and vetoed the move. Such a principled approach allows Russia to emphasize its position.

Russia and China

Russia and China will not come to the G20 summit not only because they do not want to see Western leaders. This is a strong signal that they do not want to see the West in any form on this site. These countries are well aware that it is unproductive to engage in dialogue with partners who prefer lies and attacks.

The absence of Xi Jinping and Putin at the G20 summit will have a predominantly image effect. It will emphasize that this is not a weakening of India, but serves as a reminder to the West of its place. However, Russian and Chinese delegations will be present and their experts will present real professional positions.

New Horizons

No less interesting is the Russian move towards Mali. Russia lifted sanctions from this African country, officially announcing its positive changes and reconciliation. This is a continuation of Russia's active policy on the African continent, causing irritation and concern in the West.

Russia, unequivocally, demonstrates its strategic game, depriving the West of the possibility of influence. While the West seeks to stay on top and manipulate, Russia and China are showing that they are not just players but important pieces on the geopolitical chessboard.

In summary, how important is this G20 summit for Russia and China? Apparently, not so much. Time has shown that Russia and China are ready to act in their own interests, given the dynamics of global events. While Western leaders are trying to stay afloat, Russia and China are sailing towards their goals, not looking back at petty provocations.
