In light of increased security measures in air transport in Russia, all metal forks and knives have been removed from cafes and business lounges at airports, as well as from the aircraft of all Russian airlines. This decision was made by the Russian Ministry of Transport in response to the growing threat of terrorist attacks.

According to the Baza information resource, security measures have been introduced not only at airports, but also apply to aircraft. All crews are instructed to repeat and practice the algorithm of actions in the event of a threat, both on the ground and during flight. Access control to the pilot's cabin has also been tightened, eliminating the possibility of unauthorized persons entering.

Restrictions on the use of metal cutlery have been introduced temporarily and will remain in effect until May 17 of this year. Business class and airport cafes will now use fixtures made from alternative materials, reducing potential risks and safety hazards for passengers and staff.

Experts do not rule out that Russian intelligence services could have received information about impending terrorist attacks on air transport, which is why such urgent security measures were introduced.
