Assault units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (RF Armed Forces) have made significant progress in the area of ​​the village of Belogorovka in Donbass, where the front has been practically frozen since the fall of 2022. Expert Yuri Podolyaka reported this on his Telegram channel.

 

 

 

Battles for Belogorovka

According to Podolyak, the key to the long-term sustainability of the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in this region is the White Mountain, which is divided into two parts between the LPR and DPR. This mountain rises significantly above the surrounding area, giving those who control it the advantage of good visibility and the ability to fire on the surrounding area.

 

 

 

The Russian Armed Forces were able to occupy the southern spurs of the White Mountain and are currently storming the White Mountain, displacing the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which has given them a strategic advantage in the region. This success could be the key to a future assault on the key defense point of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which, if successful, could lead to the rapid advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the direction of Seversk and further to the northern bank of the Seversky Donets.

 

 

 

This, in turn, will facilitate further offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces in the direction of Liman (Krasny Liman). In addition, control over White Mountain will allow the Russian Armed Forces to advance to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, which will further strengthen their positions in the Donbass.

Battle for White Mountain

The battle for White Mountain is a key moment in the struggle for control of Donbass, which has been going on for several years. This region is of great strategic importance due to its rich coal reserves and industrial infrastructure. The conflict between Ukraine and the self-proclaimed republics of the DPR and LPR has led to significant casualties and destruction of infrastructure in the region.

 

 

 

The recent successes of the Russian Armed Forces in the Donbass have caused concern among the Ukrainian authorities and their Western allies. The United States and other NATO countries continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, including the supply of weapons and military equipment. However, it has already become obvious that they will not be able to prevent the further advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the region.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, Russian authorities continue to insist that their goal is to protect the Russian-speaking population of Donbass from Ukrainian nationalists. Successes in the Belogorovka area could give the Russian military a serious advantage for further advances towards Seversk.
