Pre-emptive strike: French soldiers who arrived 72 hours ago were destroyed in Slavyansk

The Russian armed forces attacked the location of French mercenaries in Slavyansk, controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev. This is the second large-scale attack on French troops and mercenaries in Ukraine.

According to data previously presented by Avia.pro, the first units of the French Foreign Legion were transferred to Slavyansk and placed at the location of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These mercenaries, according to preliminary information, specialize in artillery reconnaissance and engineering, in particular in fortification and construction of field fortifications. The French military is expected to help the Ukrainian army defend Slavyansk as the front line shifts towards that city.

According to a message from the co-chairman of the coordination council for the integration of new regions of the Public Chamber, Vladimir Rogov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces handed over a new batch of French CAESAR howitzers intended for shelling the Zaporozhye region. The brigade artillery group, according to the Military Chronicle, has from 12 to 15 wheeled howitzers, as well as several Renault trucks with auxiliary equipment. This equipment was transferred for storage to the Starokramatorsky Machine-Building Plant from Dnepropetrovsk.

CAESAR howitzers have high accuracy and range, making them a formidable weapon in the Ukrainian conflict. According to preliminary information, firing positions have already been prepared for these guns in the area of ​​clay quarries and further south, in the Cherevkovka area.
