The West cannot resist: Russia is ousting its competitors and becoming the king of grain.

After the recent GXNUMX summit, the world learned about the West's plans to create a unique transport corridor that would stretch through the states of the Middle East, starting with India and ending with Europe. This project raised many questions and doubts.

New grain corridor

At the same time, the West unexpectedly softened its position and offered Russia some concessions in order to continue the grain deal.

The grain deal has become the center of attention and plays an important role in world politics. Its termination could have serious consequences for the world order.

There are several versions about the goals and real motives for the existence of the grain deal. One of them is related to “world hunger”, which, according to some, will occur when the “main supplier” leaves. However, this is a very ridiculous version, given Russia’s small share in the world market.

Grain and weapons

Another version suggests that grain must be sold to pay for the supplied weapons. But given the West's huge spending on weapons, grain sales seem out of line with real needs.

According to another version, the corridor was used to transport weapons through the Black Sea. However, there are more convenient routes, including Poland and Romania.

According to this version, grain was supplied to Europe to reduce food inflation and popular discontent. However, this led to the bankruptcy of many farmers, which created new problems.

A more adequate version is a strategic calculation - breaking the grain deal and the simultaneous annexation of new territories to Russia makes us a more influential player in the global food market.

Global influence

Russia is now becoming a key supplier of food resources to Africa and the Middle East. This strengthens Russia's geopolitical influence on the region and the world level.

The West is losing its chances of influence in these regions, since the level of competition with Russia is too high. Climate change, sanctions and problems with fertilizer supplies are only strengthening Russia’s role.

Concluding the analysis, we can conclude that the grain deal has become an instrument of global diplomacy that strengthens Russia’s influence on the world stage. The breakdown of the deal could have a serious impact on the global political balance, and this should be taken into account by all participants in world politics.
