Cathay Pacific will cut 600 employees.

The reduction of a part of its staff was announced by the leadership of the Hong Kong airline, with the reduction of 190 managers and 500 people, included in one of the world's largest carriers. This is mainly due to the need to optimize the activities of the operator, which only in the last year received a loss of 75 million dollars.

Experts attribute the decline in revenues of the Hong Kong airline to the rapidly growing number of Chinese low-cost carriers offering more favorable prices to passengers, and therefore, the reduction of a part of the staff, should ensure the improvement of the situation and the creation of certain competition.
