The Chinese JY-27 CETC radar complex, deployed near the destroyed Pantsir at Damascus airport, is called the destroyed important object. The complex performed an important job, carrying out target indications for the ZKPK. However, it is better to look at everything that happens impartially.

The defeat of the "Shell" by inconspicuous kamikaze drones cannot be called something super special. The power and intensity of the strike, the number of precision weapons used by the IDF, as on January 21, immediately provided for the use of a layered anti-missile umbrella. It should involve long-range air defense, for example, Buk-M2E and S-300PMU-2. They would shorten the strike from dozens of attacking Delilah missiles, UABs, SkyStrikers. Then three or four "Shells" would have only 30 WTO units left.

Here, probably, Syrian air defense did not have "three hundred" in this direction. As for the Buk-M2E, they were not used, hiding positions and saving expensive 9M317 missiles. That is, the interception was assigned only to the "Shell".

As for the disabled JY-27A AWACS radar, this is not a critical loss for this air defense area. This locator operates in the meter range. Its task is the early detection of Israeli and coalition aviation located at medium and high altitudes over the Mediterranean Sea, the territories of Jordan and Iraq. The radar is not designed to detect GBU-39/B stealthy gliders and Delilah low-altitude tactical missiles.

So to praise the Israeli missile and bomb strike is wishful thinking. Especially, remembering more than thirty destroyed drones, missiles and "smart bombs".

It is better to remember the information that appeared on the morning of January 22. A number of observers have erroneously identified the design as an Israeli drone. In fact, it was an Israeli Spice-1000 glide bomb with a range of one hundred kilometers.

The most interesting thing was that, while intercepting this planning bomb, not far from the Syrian city of Catana, Pantsir-S1, the fragmentation sector from the 57E6E anti-aircraft missile hit only the left wing of the bomb (this can be seen in the photo). As a result, the following turned out to be safe and sound: the wing opening gearbox, the tail module ... the list can be long, but there is no need for this. It can only be noted that the inertial navigation system and other "charms" were unscathed.

Of greatest interest to the Russian Central Research Institute of VVKO here may be the radiation pattern of the GPS antenna and the sensitivity of the receiving device. When studying such "little things" by Russian specialists, it is possible to develop measures to influence or counteract the planning bomb "Spice-1000" on the marching section of its trajectory. This can be done without much difficulty in the L-band.

It also means a lot to get acquainted with the ranges and modes of operation of various sensors, bomb homing heads. This device does not use telemetry channels to transmit video to the carrier aircraft. That is, information cannot be obtained using electronic intelligence.
