The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation denied Prigozhin's statements that the assault on Soledar was carried out only by the forces of Wagner PMC.

Despite the fact that the founder of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, openly stated several times that Soledar was being stormed exclusively by units of a private military company, it turned out that Prigozhin’s statement was untrue and unreliable, since units of the Armed Forces also took part in the occupation of the city. Russian forces. Information on this subject was announced by the Russian defense department.

As it turned out, the Russian paratroopers played a key role in encircling the city, although before that the founder of PMC Wagner claimed that this was done by the forces of a private military company.

"Airborne units blocked Soledar from the northern and southern parts of the city. Russian Aerospace Forces strike at enemy strongholds. Assault units are fighting in the city", - said in the official message of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

At the moment, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have actually completely lost control over Soledar, since the main forces of the Ukrainian army were forced out to the western outskirts of the city and beyond.
