Coronavirus in the Russian Armed Forces is rapidly gaining momentum.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the coronavirus poses a very serious threat to the Russian Armed Forces, since the current spread of the infection is massive and it is not possible to contain the pandemic, as evidenced by the statistics published by the Ministry of Defense RF

“The position of the Ministry of Defense - we must be very serious. The spread of coronavirus infection is a big threat. This infection has no borders, it has a high spread rate, it is already massive ”, - quotes the words of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexander Fomin television channel "Star".

As follows from the data published by the Russian defense department, over the past day (as of May 1, 2020), 93 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, including 31 cases of infection in military units of the Russian army, 34 cases in higher military educational institutions and 28 cases of infection among civilian personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the number of infected has decreased significantly in pre-university educational institutions, however, in general, the incidence continues to grow rapidly.

It should be clarified that powerful bursts of incidence in the armed forces of the Russian Federation can be avoided, however, given the allegations of the mass spread of the virus, the situation may well get out of control.
