Border guards detained smugglers drone

16th of May. Russian border guards detained an unmanned aerial vehicle on which smugglers were transporting cigarettes from Russia to Lithuania.

According to the official report, the unmanned aerial vehicle was self-made - it was made of wood and polystyrene, and controlled using an ordinary tablet. The aircraft could lift up to 10 kilogram payload. The border services are already testing for involvement in the smuggling of cigarettes, and it is possible that the investigation will be able to identify those involved.

It should be noted that such a case is far from the first, and such a method of smuggling is very widespread today, especially since it is very difficult to detect unmanned aerial vehicles.
