Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega authorized the entry of Russian troops, ships and aircraft into the country

The Russian army was allowed free access to Nicaragua.

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has authorized the entry of Russian troops, ships and aircraft into the country starting in the second half of 2022. According to the data presented, the Russian army, warships, and aviation equipment are allowed to freely stay on the territory of this Latin American state as part of humanitarian missions.

What exactly caused the decision of the President of Nicaragua to invite the Russian army to the territory of the country is not specified, however, experts note that this is an extremely serious challenge for the United States, since there are only about a thousand kilometers from the borders of Nicaragua to the borders of the United States.

"Troops, ships and aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation may enter to participate in training and exercises, as well as humanitarian aid operations, search and rescue and emergency rescue operations in emergency situations or natural disasters", - reports the publication "El Pais".

At the moment, there are no explanations on this matter, however, it is noteworthy that the Nicaraguan authorities also allowed the introduction of troops and equipment from other countries. In particular, we are talking about the United States, Mexico, Venezuela, Guatemala, Cuba, El Salvador, Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
