MiG-31s arriving in Syria were bombarded with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles in an hour

By the time Sergei Shoigu arrived in Syria, MiG-31 fighters had already been equipped with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.

Earlier reports that the Khmeimim air base permanently stores Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, and this makes it possible to quickly deploy MiG-31 fighters to the region and quickly equip aircraft with these weapons, have been confirmed. As it became known, by the time Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Syria, MiG-31 fighters were equipped with these hypersonic weapons. This is evidenced by the published video footage.

In the presented video, you can see that the MiG-31K fighters that arrived in Syria do not carry hypersonic weapons, however, on other video frames taken with an hour difference, you can see that hypersonic missiles have already been installed on the fighters and technicians are preparing aircraft for the combat use of this weapons.

How many hypersonic missiles of the ARK "Dagger" can be stored at the Khmeimim airbase is unknown. Given the importance of this region for Russia, we can talk about at least ten missiles, especially since the Kinzhal ARK can also be used by Tu-22M3 long-range tactical bombers, which, by the way, also arrived in Syria a few hours ago.

Experts note that the operational deployment of Russian Tu-22M3 bombers and MiG-31K fighters to Syria, followed by equipping the latter with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, is a signal to NATO.

Daggers are not for Syria, but for NATO bases in the Mediterranean - I think so.

This interceptor has poor maneuverability even without a missile, and with it it is generally clumsy. Even from an anti-aircraft missile, he can only escape in afterburner. At the same time, fuel consumption is huge. This carrier was chosen, apparently out of desperation.

I wonder why hypersonic missiles are in Syria. Terrorists have learned to run so fast?
