Russia reported that the United States is preparing to invade Venezuela.

According to Interfax, the Russian Foreign Ministry made a statement that the US made a decision on military intervention in the internal affairs of Venezuela. The official representative of this ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the Americans are engaged in a detailed study of the provision of a force variant of the change of power in Venezuela.

According to Zakharova, on the border with Venezuela, the United States creates a single command post. Engaged in this military. Washington connects this with a humanitarian operation, which in reality is “humanitarian intervention.”

Washington is inciting the Venezuelan military to stand on the side of Juano Guaydo, who proclaimed himself the interim president of the country. According to RIA Novosti, Zakharova said that the Americans are already directly threatening the Venezuelan military, who remain loyal to the legitimate government.

As follows from media reports, on February 6, American weapons were found at one of the airports in the country. The consignment consisted of nineteen rifles, 118 stores for them, ninety radio antennas, six telephones.

US President Donald Trump made a statement on February 3 stating that he did not rule out sending troops to Venezuela. A little earlier, the US leadership advised Nicholas Maduro, the country's president, to flee abroad.
