On the morning of March 22, a missile danger was declared in the territory of Belgorod and the Belgorod region. The regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported this threat, calling on citizens to stay at home and avoid approaching windows. This warning was distributed through the department’s Telegram channel and received confirmation from Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

On the eve of this warning, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the successful destruction of 10 shells of the Vampire multiple launch rocket system over the Belgorod region, thereby thwarting an attempted terrorist attack, presumably from Ukraine, around 08:00. Subsequently, during the day, Governor Gladkov informed about the consequences of the shelling of Belgorod and the surrounding area, as a result of which five people were injured.

According to "Base", this morning one of the shells hit the courtyard of a high-rise building on Yunosti Boulevard. Several cars caught fire there. There is no information about casualties yet.
