The pilot from Switzerland, trying to fly around the globe for 20 months, crashed in Bolivia.

The tragedy occurred the previous evening in the central part of Bolivia. As it became known, 62-year-old pilot flying across the country, crashed into the slope of the volcano Cotopaxi and died. What caused the tragedy at the moment remains unknown, but according to some sources, the light-engine aircraft used by the pilot, just lost control.

The lone pilot himself has repeatedly made long flights on a small airplane, but now he intended to prove that he could circumnavigate the entire globe in just 20 months.
