On board the aircraft were three people, and in addition, rescuers who arrived at the scene also found almost a ton of cocaine. According to the first assumptions, the plane and the forbidden cargo belonged to a local large criminal structure, and experts are currently figuring out the involvement of this.

It is important to note that the Venezuelan authorities are waging an intensified fight against drug trafficking in the country, and according to the first information available in local media, the plane could have been destroyed by air defense systems, as it did not respond to requests, but the Minister of Justice denied these data stating that the crash was caused unknown.
