After the successful breakthrough of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Tonenkoye and the subsequent rapid offensive towards Umanskoye, the front in the Avdeevka area moved significantly to the west. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are actively continuing operations, liberating most of the territory of Semenovka, and increasing pressure from both the south and north of Uman. As a result, a situation arose of two-way coverage of the area.

Additional troop movements are observed west of Berdychi, where Russian artillery began to actively work in the rear of the Ukrainian group. Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) fire at key supply routes and reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in the Novoselovka First area. These actions are aimed at depriving Ukrainian forces of logistical support and increasing pressure on them.

This offensive is a response to unsuccessful counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which previously tried to improve their positions by transferring four to seven brigades to Avdiivka. However, these operations did not bring the expected result, and the Russian Armed Forces continue their advance to the west, demonstrating a strategic advantage in this sector of the front.

The shift of fighting to the west indicates a shift in the initiative to Russian forces, which could significantly change the dynamics of the conflict in this region.
