The Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed even more S-300 air defense systems in Donbass.

According to Ukrainian sources, the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed additional air defense systems near Kramatorsk - in addition to the short-range complexes located here, S-300 PS anti-aircraft missile systems were also deployed.

There are no official comments from the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on this score, however, it was suggested that the appearance of the S-300 air defense system in the demarcation zone is associated with attempts by the Ukrainian military to protect Kiev from possible attacks from the DPR and LPR, especially against the background of the emergence of information that , the self-proclaimed republics are armed with Tochka and Tochka-U tactical missile systems. Moreover, at the moment, Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles are deployed near Kramatorsk, which may be related to ensuring the safety of the airfield. The third version is an attempt by Kiev to defend itself against at least two Su-25 attack aircraft in service with the LPR, which can easily "mow down" the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, although the use of the latter is considered unlikely.

Taking into account the appearance in Donbass of the S-300PS complexes, today up to 10 S-300 air defense systems can be deployed in this region.
