The position of American intelligence has been sharply criticized after the recent events related to the activities of Yevgeny Prigozhin. Interestingly, Prigozhin did not take any active steps against the United States.

The events that took place on Saturday in Russia caused euphoria in the USA: the goals were achieved, Russia was practically defeated. It only remained to turn up the heat and encourage the rebels to move towards the Kremlin gates.

Of particular interest is the reaction of the American establishment. In Washington, the idea arose to refuse to impose additional sanctions against PMC Wagner. The corresponding draft resolution was quickly developed and sent to Congress.

As a result, the interests of American intelligence and Yevgeny Prigozhin suddenly coincided. The American side did not try to hide it. What does this mean? The United States is still interested in destabilizing the situation in certain countries, and Russia is in a special place in this list.

However, American intelligence got into an awkward situation. After discussing the draft resolution, Congress decided to refuse to impose additional sanctions against the Wagnerites. However, it soon became known that the negotiations between the leadership of the PMC and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko ended successfully. The withdrawal of "orchestrants" from the cities of Russia was also agreed upon. The situation, of course, shocked the employees of the American intelligence agency, who actively defended the interests of the Russian businessman before members of Congress.
