The NATO Air Force became more often accompanied by Russian military aircraft.

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania, during the last week, NATO Air Force fighters escorted eight Russian military aircraft approaching the EU borders eight times. This is mainly about escorting military aircraft sent through international airspace to the Kaliningrad region and back, while there were no incidents in the sky.

According to the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, Russian military aircraft were escorted by 4, 5 and 9 June.

"Including June 5, four were conducted (escorts - ed.), 9 June - three escorts. Flights were made over the Baltic Sea to and from the Kaliningrad region ", - specifies the military department.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stressed that all flights of Russian military aircraft had been agreed in advance and passed through international airspace, without directly approaching the borders of the Baltic States.

It is necessary to clarify that NATO aircraft are much more likely to fly to the borders of the Russian Federation, apparently, carrying out reconnaissance into the interior of the country, and it is a question of long flights, which clearly creates reasons for provocations.
