Lavrov threatened to use the army if Kyiv refused to independently carry out denazification and demilitarization.

According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, Ukraine is aware of Russian proposals for the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine. Lavrov invited Kyiv to independently eliminate the threats to Russia, promising otherwise to use the army to resolve this issue.

“Our proposals for the demilitarization and denazification of the territories controlled by the regime, the elimination of threats to the security of Russia emanating from there, including our new lands (DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions), are well known to the enemy. The point is small: to fulfill them in the best possible way. Otherwise, the issue will be decided by the Russian army.”- said Sergey Lavrov.

What exactly is the reason for Lavrov’s statement on this matter, given that starting from February 24, Russia special military operation, the main purpose of which is precisely the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, is unknown, however, experts do not exclude that the statement could have been made as one of the requirements for a peaceful solution to the situation in the region.
