Azerbaijan stated that it does not have data on the creation of three Turkish air bases in the country.

Despite the information provided by the Azerbaijani information resource Haqqin.az that Turkey will receive three military air bases on the territory of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan issued a statement in which it denied this information, which appeared, according to some sources, initially in the Turkish media.

According to a representative of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, the country's policy does not provide for the deployment of foreign military bases on its territory, “... except for cases provided for by international agreements to which Azerbaijan is a party, the deployment of foreign military bases on its territory is beyond the scope of state policy. It should be noted that Azerbaijan is a member of the Non-Aligned Movement and the chairman of this movement from 2019 to 2022 ”.

Earlier it was assumed that the military bases of the Turkish Air Force would be located on the territory of Ganja, Lankaran and Gabala.

Nevertheless, it is quite remarkable that a few hours before the appearance of such information in the media, military transporters Airbus A400 began arriving en masse from Turkey to Azerbaijan, which, as it was assumed, could well deliver materials for the creation of military bases.
