A citizen of the Russian Federation was arrested for purchasing documentation for combat fighters.

TASS news agency, citing court documents, reports that Oleg Tishchenko, a citizen of the Russian Federation, was arrested for buying and attempting to export flight operation manuals for F-16, F-18, F-35, F-22 combat fighters and so forth, from the territory of the USA to Russia.

It is known that the Russians are accused of violating the law on the export of weapons, smuggling and conspiracy against US interests, however, it is noteworthy that Tishchenko himself was detained on the territory of Georgia, after which he was extradited to the United States.

According to Tishchenko himself, the flight manuals were required for him to create computer simulation games, which he actually did several years earlier, but in Washington they stick to their point of view, accusing Tishchenko of espionage.

The Russian Embassy in the United States, in turn, believes that Washington’s actions are provocative in nature, while diplomats intend to monitor the course of the investigation, providing the Russian citizen with all the necessary support, including legal support.
