Russian troops have made significant progress in improving their positions in the central part of the village of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region, according to Vladimir Rogov, head of the public movement “We are together with Russia.” As part of the ongoing intense hostilities, he said, it was possible to successfully repel several enemy attacks in the village and its surrounding areas. This statement followed the Ministry of Defense's announcement that at the end of February the Russian military had secured strongholds in Rabotino, which is a significant achievement in the context of combat operations at the front.

The village of Rabotino remains one of the key points on the front line in the Zaporozhye region, while the Kyiv authorities considered it as the most important target as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive in the Zaporozhye direction since June last year. For the battles for Rabotino, Ukraine brought in brigades that were trained by Western instructors, which underscores the strategic importance of this area for both sides of the conflict.
