According to the Ukrainian edition of "UA Info", a promising Russian training aircraft SR-10, which was to replace L-39, was ruined by the absence of Ukrainian AI-25STR engines.

The Ukrainian publication reports that even such a superpower as Russia, with sufficient financial resources, can not do without cooperation with the Ukrainian company Motor Sich, which allows us to assess the Russian aircraft industry in a negative way.

Experts note that Russian designers tried to replace the Ukrainian engine AI-25STR, engines of its own production - AL-55, but as a result, it required the introduction of changes in the design of the aircraft itself, which will certainly lead to an increase in the cost of the project and make it impractical, and for revision will go away another 3-4 years.
