An unknown device exploded in Belgorod. This was announced by the Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"According to preliminary data, an unmanned aerial vehicle fell on the roadway. There are two injured."the governor wrote. This confirms the earlier information about the explosion, which was distributed by the local media.

One of the victims, a man, was taken to City Hospital No. 2 with traces of an injury suspected of a concussion. The second victim received bruises, but refused hospitalization. One car was also damaged.

Immediately after the incident, operational services and an investigation team arrived at the scene.

"The operational services and the investigation team are working on the spot"- said Vyacheslav Gladkov.

Valentin Demidov, mayor of Belgorod, also responded to the incident.

"Explosion technicians are working. All specialists are at the scene: the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the administration. According to preliminary data, no explosive devices were found. We are waiting for the conclusion and will open traffic on the road in the near future"- said Demidov.

In connection with the incident that occurred on Shchorsa Street, the movement of local public transport was changed, according to the Ministry of Transport of the region.
