The Peruvian authorities shot down a drug traffickers' plane.

According to official figures, a small aircraft transported 270 kilograms of cocaine from Bolivia for the further distribution of drugs in neighboring countries. While illegally crossing the border, the plane was shot down, however, the pilot was still able to make an emergency landing on the ground, and before the arrival of the rescuers, most of the drugs were hidden.

The details and all the circumstances of the incident at the moment remain unknown, however, experts say that initially the Peruvian authorities had information about the upcoming illegal drug smuggling, and were actually ready to destroy the drug traffickers' plane.
