US military intelligence: the power of the Chinese army is growing at an accelerated pace.

The United States Department of Defense Intelligence Agency (RUMO) has submitted a report that discusses the Chinese armed forces. According to forecasts, the economy in the “heaven” is currently ranked second in the world. This was the result of accelerated modernization in recent years. At the same time, the Chinese army is being modernized. Its goal is higher combat abilities. Already, the most advanced shock and defensive systems are present in the armed forces of the country.

US military intelligence officers claim that one of the main goals of Beijing is to reunite the island of Taiwan with the country. This plan, as well as the continuing tense situation due to the disputed islands in the South China Sea, require China’s leadership to continue developing weapons at an accelerated pace.

China's defense spending on 2018 was higher than 200 billion dollars. This is three times higher than in 2002. True, significantly lower costs in the United States. In this country, the defense budget exceeded 700 billion. The most significant part of it is spent on military development. As for China, its leadership is more simple. The country simply copies foreign technologies, which are obtained both through procurement and in an unlawful way (asserted by RUMO analysts).

Funding and Beijing's forces are aimed at obtaining military technology by any means. The country's laws force foreign partners (in case of joint ventures) to gain access to the Chinese market, which provides a high level of profit, to share technologies. This conclusion is reached by the head of the RUMO, Lieutenant-General Robert Ashley.

According to US military intelligence officers, the Chinese army already has cruise missiles that can be launched from aircraft and ships. The range of their action is a thousand kilometers. Chinese armed forces have anti-ship ballistic missiles. They are designed to attack aircraft carriers.
