Explosions of ammunition on board the cruiser "Moskva" stopped, the ship remains buoyant

Explosions aboard the Russian missile cruiser Moskva have ceased.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports that the explosions that thundered on board the Russian missile cruiser Moskva have completely stopped. The ship was seriously damaged, but it retains its buoyancy, and at the moment measures are being taken to tow the ship to the port for its inspection and repair (if it is expedient).

According to official data from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, everyone on board the Russian missile cruiser Moskva was evacuated - there is currently no information about the injured and wounded.

At the moment, the circumstances of the incident are being established, but it is known that ammunition detonated on board the ship.

Experts draw attention to the fact that earlier drifting sea mines were noticed in the waters of the Black Sea, however, according to initial information, a fire broke out on board the missile cruiser, and the detonation of ammunition was the result of what happened.

It should be noted that at the time of the incident, an American military aircraft was near the Russian cruiser.
