Japanese tried to import into Bangladesh 11 kilogram of gold

At the airport of Dhaka, a Japanese citizen was transported carrying 11 kilograms of gold.

As reported by the Xinhua News Agency, the day before in the capital airport of Bangladesh, a Japanese citizen was detained, illegally carrying 11 kilograms of gold in bars. It is reported that the man was flying from Singapore, however, how exactly a Japanese citizen was able to load gold on a flight, while remaining unnoticed, remains unknown.

At the moment, it is known that a passenger who tried to smuggle gold into Bangladesh was detained by the police for further investigation, and gold, estimated value of about 663 thousand dollars, was confiscated for the investigation, but accepting the illegality of the import of precious metal in bars, its most likely confiscated in favor of the state.
