Zircon hypersonic missiles will enter service with submarines only in 2025

The Russian Zircon hypersonic missiles will enter service with the submarine fleet only after 4 years.

The Zircon hypersonic missile for surface carriers is planned to be adopted by the country at the beginning of next year, however, since tests of hypersonic weapons from submarine carriers began only six months ago, this missile will enter service with Russian submarines only in 2025. This was reported by a TASS source.

According to information at the disposal of the news agency Avia.pro, the first carrier of the Zircon hypersonic missiles will be the Perm nuclear submarine, from which in the future the tests of hypersonic weapons will be carried out. The tests of the Zircon hypersonic missiles from the submarine carriers were delayed due to the fact that the designers had to make a number of adjustments.

“State tests of Zircon for nuclear submarines will be roughly completed in 2025. The first full-time carrier of the Zircons, Perm, will take part in them. At the same time, it is planned that the boat, along with missiles, will enter service with the Russian Navy ", - the Russian news agency "TASS" reports.

A few days ago, the Russian Defense Ministry published a video of new tests of the Zircon hypersonic missiles from the frigate Admiral Gorshkov. These tests are supposed to be final.

This means that everything is going according to plan: the Yaseni-M are being built, the main carriers of the underwater Zircons, by 2025 there will be 8-10 units. At the same time, the "surface" "Zircons" has not been canceled
