Iran destroyed an Armenian drone that violated the country's border.

Several hours ago, Iranian air defense systems attacked an unknown unmanned aerial vehicle moving from the direction of Armenia. The drone was destroyed while violating the country's border. This is the first time that the Iranian military has attacked an Armenian drone.

According to Iranian sources, the unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed in the area of ​​the Azerbaijani-Iranian border, on the territory of the Ardabil province. The type of drone shot down has not yet been established, however, most likely, we are talking about a reconnaissance drone, which, most likely, was supposed to make reconnaissance for subsequent strikes with artillery.

This is far from the first time that Iran has attacked drones invading its airspace, but the first time that a drone belonging to Armenia has been destroyed.

Earlier, Iran announced its readiness to immediately respond to the violation of its borders and shelling of the territory, stressing that this applies to both Azerbaijan and Armenia, moreover, in one of the cases, Iranian artillery weapons even struck the positions of the Azerbaijani military who were going to attack the border with NKR regions.
