A few minutes ago from Syria came the news that the Israeli Air Force fighters struck a new series of rocket attacks on the outskirts of Damascus. Air traffic in the Syrian-Israeli border area, as well as in the Lebanon area, is completely closed.

According to the data currently being received, at least eight rockets were fired from Israel across Syria. The launches were carried out from the territory of Israel, while in the area of ​​the Syrian capital, air defense systems are actively working - some of the missiles were shot down.

At the moment, it remains unclear whether the Israeli military has coordinated a strike on Syria with the Russian military base Khmeimim, since the Russian Aermed Flight Forces continue to strike at insurgents in Idlib, Hama and Lattakia, and actively use Syrian airspace over the entire SAR territory.

According to unconfirmed reports, in addition to air strikes, artillery installations on the Golan Heights are also actively used.

There was evidence that the purpose of the Israeli air strikes could be the position of the Iranian military in the suburbs of Damascus, but this information has not yet been confirmed.
