The Russian military announced that fifth-generation American fighters, located at a relatively short distance from the Russian borders, were detected and successfully accompanied by Russian air defense systems. We are talking about the F-35 and F-22 fighters.

“Over the past 12 months, the means of the over-the-horizon detection radar (ZGO)“ Container ”located in Mordovia detected“ flights of stealth fighters from NATO countries, ”RTI reports. The latter include the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II aircraft. In a press release, the company notes that on the first day of winter, one year has passed since the "Container" took up combat duty in Mordovia. According to RTI, this radar has fully proved its significance and effectiveness, "by detecting and determining the trajectory parameters of strategic, reconnaissance and tactical aircraft", - about it сообщает Russian information publication "Lenta.ru".

Experts do not specify where and when exactly the fifth generation American fighters were intercepted, however, experts draw attention to the fact that earlier the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov stated that the Russian radar "Container" detected American F-35 fighters near the borders of Iran, when the latter could begin to strike at the territory of the Islamic republic.
