24 years ago, the United States could turn into a nuclear desert.

The American edition "VOX" recalled an incident that occurred 24 years ago, which almost cost the lives of millions of US residents. This is the case when the Russian military confused the research rocket launched by the Annoia Islands with a nuclear missile aimed at Russia.

According to the American publication VOX, on January 25, 1995, scientists had previously warned Russia and a number of other countries about the upcoming tests of a research rocket, however, as experts emphasize, for some unknown reason, military engineers responsible for radar systems warning of a nuclear strike, in they did not make it famous.

“Within a few minutes, his black nuclear briefcase was delivered to President Boris Yeltsin. For several tense minutes, while Yeltsin was on the phone with his defense minister, general turmoil reigned.
