A new powerful weapon has appeared in the arsenal of the Russian Aerospace Forces - three-ton FAB-3000 aerial bombs. The updated version of these munitions, as experts suggest, is equipped with universal planning and correction modules, which significantly increases their combat effectiveness and accuracy of hitting targets.

The appearance of three-ton FAB-3000s in the arsenal of the Russian Aerospace Forces is causing concern within NATO, as noted by military expert Andrei Klintsevich. This is due not only to the mass production of these ammunition, but also to their potential to cause devastating damage to enemy infrastructure and warehouses.

At the same time, the question is raised about the organization of planning and correction modules for such large-scale munitions, as well as which air forces will be involved in their use. Among the possible carriers of the FAB-3000 are the Tu-22M3 strategic bombers and Su-34 front-line bombers, which indicates high flexibility in the choice of platforms for using these bombs.

Created back in Soviet times, the FAB-3000 has an ammunition weight of 1200 kg and is designed to hit a wide range of targets, including industrial facilities, urban and port facilities. The potential damage radius is 46 meters, and the fragmentation field generated by the explosion can reach 260 meters.
