Suspect of preparing a terrorist attack against Russian military personnel detained in Belgorod

In Belgorod, special services detained 47-year-old Yuri Ya., suspected of preparing a terrorist attack against Russian military personnel. According to Baza journalists, Yuri contacted Ukrainian saboteurs and joined the ranks of one of the banned groups, after which he began planning several acts of sabotage. One of the plans was the mass poisoning of soldiers, as well as the explosion of an object using an F-1 grenade near a grocery store in the Valuysky urban district.

“According to investigators, in January, 47-year-old Yuri Ya. contacted representatives of the Russian Volunteer Corps, banned in Russia, joined its ranks and began planning several acts of sabotage against military personnel. According to the investigation, Yuri planned to detonate a device with an F-1 grenade near a grocery store in the Valuysky urban district. In addition, as the investigation indicates, the man planned to poison food products that were collected as humanitarian aid for Russian military personnel.”, - the journalists of "Base" report.

During the search, an ampoule with an unknown substance, presumably containing poisonous components, was found on the suspect, which was sent to the laboratory for examination. At the moment, a criminal case has been initiated against Yuri Ya. under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation into the case continues, the man is in jail awaiting further proceedings.
