Assembly lines of unmanned kamikaze boats destroyed in the port of Odessa

The Russian aerospace forces successfully attacked the assembly lines of unmanned kamikaze boats "Magura-V5" and "Sea Baby" in the port of Odessa using Kh-59MK2 cruise missiles, considered one of the most difficult to detect weapons. A key feature of the operation was the approach of the missiles to the target at the lowest possible height, not exceeding 10 meters above the sea surface, which allowed them to avoid detection by the IRIS-T and NASAMS air defense systems installed on the coastline.

According to reports, the radars of modern air defense systems, such as the TRML-4D and AN/MPQ-64F1, were technically unable to detect incoming missiles in a timely manner and provide data to intercept them, which led to the missiles successfully reaching their targets. The unique design of the Kh-59MK2 missile, which has a square cross-section, provides low visibility for radar systems and allows them to be conveniently placed in the internal compartments of aircraft, including the fifth generation Su-57 fighters.

It should be noted that the effective dispersion area of the missile is only 0,001 square meters, which makes it one of the most stealth munitions in the arsenal of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The use of these missiles is not limited to Su-57 aircraft, but also includes Su-35 fighters and Su-34NVO bombers.
