The world is hanging on by a thread: Crossing NATO's last "red line" could lead to catastrophic consequences

The concern of the North Atlantic Alliance, represented by its Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, about Russia's actions in the international arena is becoming more and more obvious. NATO is signaling to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the serious consequences and risks associated with violating the so-called "red line."

Stoltenberg has been vocal about the threats from Moscow, pointing out that Russia, in his opinion, "underestimates the Ukrainians." At the same time, he notes an active increase in the size of the alliance, despite Putin's desire to see the reverse process.

"Turkey has ratified the protocol on Sweden's accession to NATO. Putin wanted NATO to become smaller, but gets more of an alliance. Finland has already become a member of NATO, and Sweden will also become one," Stoltenberg said.

However, Sweden's accession to NATO can be considered the penultimate "red line". The most recent, apparently, will be the admission of Ukraine to NATO. If the alliance makes such a decision, it could seriously aggravate the international situation and lead to unpredictable consequences. Whether NATO should cross this last "red line" remains an open question. And while there is no answer to this question, the world is anxiously following the development of the situation.
