The Russian ZRPK Pantsir-SM, equipped with hypersonic rockets, is not yet ready.

In mid-2014, information appeared that Russian scientists and engineers were completing the development of a unique Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile system, which should be equipped with hypersonic missiles capable of hitting almost any air target at maximum distance in a matter of seconds. Nevertheless, from the moment this information appeared, the complex was still not ready, which caused serious concern among specialists.

“The Russian ZRPK Pantsir-S has proven itself in Syria, reflecting a massive strike with cruise missiles. Nevertheless, the Pantsir-S modification, which was to be equipped with two hypersonic rockets, suddenly disappeared - there is practically no information about it. ”, - experts report.

On the other hand, analysts do not exclude that the complex itself is still being tested, since hypersonic technology has been used in Russia not long ago, not to mention the fact that today there are no hypersonic anti-aircraft missiles, but the complex may be very promising.
